Item description

Al Bombo Stool by Stefano Giovannoni for Magis. Since Bombo entered the contemporary furniture arena in 1996, this fixed stool has remained one of the most significant designs made in Italy and one of the most copied worldwide. But make no mistake, there is only one Bombo, as can be seen from the logo writing "Bombo The Original", in defense of the quality of the design, materials and production. Only Magis could find such an inimitable product, and only Magis could improve. The new version of Bombo, in a single titanium shade for both the seat and the base, with an elegantly glamorous finish, is equipped with a gas piston to reach heights of up to 80 cm, making it even more practical and suitable for the needs of the world contract, as well as domestic use. The base has also been developed to ensure perfect stability on any surface. Al Bombo is a swivel stool, adjustable in height with a gas piston; It has a base and structure in stainless steel, seat in polished die-cast aluminium. Stefano Giovannoni was born in La Spezia in 1954; he is an architect and designer, a student of Buti at the University of Florence. In the early 1980s he founded the King-Kong Production group together with Guido Venturini. Behind a physique du rôle that seems the opposite of that of a famous designer hides a talent capable of transferring into his projects the complex system of "affective codes" that made him the champion of the "Super & Popular" of the years '90. Methodical designer par excellence, he has industrial design in his blood and an ability to understand the public like few others. His projects, which began with the "Girotondo" tray (1989, designed with Guido Venturini) and with the first playful plastic objects of the "Family Follows Fiction" series (1993), are divided into a vast family of objects in production in the catalogs "Officina Alessi", "Alessi" and "A di Alessi".
