Pair of rosewood bedside tables/coffee tables by Severin Hansen for Haslev Møbelfabrik (Denmark), 1960s. Minimalist shape, great craftsmanship. These nightstands/coffee tables feature angular silhouettes, tapered legs and excellent joinery features. An additional lower shelf offers functional space for books or smaller items but can also be removed if necessary. The rich grains of the rosewood tops add elegance to the pieces; in our opinion, the uneven grain on both planes makes the pair much more interesting. The superior quality and authenticity are confirmed by the manufacturer's sticker and the Dutch Control label, which constitute a distinguishing feature for the best furniture manufacturers. Lower shelf height: 32 cm. They are in excellent condition and the tops have been finished with a thick coat of new lacquer to both add extra protection and enhance the appearance of the wood.
