Beech floor lamp with matt white glass shades, 1970s
SILVER Seller in Praha, Czechia
A relatively rare floor lamp, made in the 1970s in the former Czechoslovakia. It was most probably part of the equipment of a hotel room. The lamp is made of white matt glass with a matt surface and a frame made entirely of beech wood. The rounded shape of the lamp is linked to the Atomic Age, a period when round, futuristic shapes entered applied art. When switched on, the lamp creates a pleasant diffused light. The lamp is fully functional, in excellent original condition. Height: 133 cm, width: 49 cm, depth: 49 cm.
