Scandinavian mahogany daybed attributed to Ingmar Relling, 1960s

Minimalism and Norwegian purity can be found in this Scandinavian folding sofa bed from the 1960s, closely reminiscent of Ingmar Relling's designs. It is most likely a version of Svane. The daybed fits perfectly in any living room, office, guest room or children's room. It is both a two-seater sofa and a bed, as it offers a sleeping function when fully unfolded. The table can be easily moved up and down, leaving space for two back cushions to create a bed over 197 cm long. The sofa is double-sided, which means that the coffee table can be placed on the right or left side. The mahogany frame with ribbon stripes, combined with a new grey natural wool upholstery and leather buttons, adds a new look to the classic mid-century Scandinavian design. Tapered legs finished in brass, detachable for convenient transportation. The sofa was restored by our team. We made sure that all mechanisms worked properly. All foams were replaced and covered with a natural wool fabric. The wood was cleaned and refreshed with Danish oil. Some absolutely minor signs of use are visible on the wood just to confirm the age of the piece. Customers from all over the world have already trusted our work and its fruits.
