Lorosae pendant lamp by Álvaro Siza for Reggiani, 2000s
SILVER Seller in Treviso, Italy
Lorosae, Light of Dawn, produced by Reggiani. This lamp designed by the great Portuguese architect Álvaro Siza saw the light of day for the first time in Vicenza, towards the end of 1999, in the great hall of Andrea Palladio's Basilica. Siza wanted it to shed light on what he cares about most: his architectural works. Now its evident beauty - without redundancy, without paraphrase, without rhetorical covering - reappears in our homes, an element with industrial lines that is well suited to any type of room and furniture, giving a note of color and class to every environment.
