Mahogany bookcase, second half of the 19th century
SILVER Seller in Padova, Italia
Two-door bookcase with glass in the upper part, two drawers in the middle with a lock and two wooden doors in the lower part. Made in France in the second half of the 19th century, using mahogany plating to draw mirrored flames on the front of the cabinet. The interior is made of elm wood and the three shelves in the upper part rest on racks so that their height can be adjusted. In the lower part there is a single shelf in the centre. Already restored, it only needs some polishing. The upper internal depth is 24.5 cm.
