Item description

Walnut writing table with two drawers, made in France in the first half of the 19th century. The top inlaid with a light wood fillet rests on four turned solid walnut legs. On one side two large drawers with bronze handles. The edge of the top has a profile molded into three small half-rounds. Over the years it was probably also used as a work table and shows signs of wear on the top and sides. The height for the legs under the band is 61 cm. Restored and polished with shellac with a wax finish.
