Two-bay teak and brass bookcase by Ico Parisi, 1960s. It is completely double-sided and can therefore act as a highly decorative and functional room divider. Magnificent teak woodwork and elegant brass details adorn this piece. It is equipped with two spacious cabinets: one, with functional internal compartments, can become either a perfect hidden desk to have a work/study space at home or a bar compartment, depending on your preferences; the other cabinet, with internal shelf, offers plenty of space for storing various objects. Plus, six deep shelves provide ample space for displaying books and decorations. Solid wood side panels and horizontal supports ensure excellent durability and longevity, while adjustable brass feet ensure stability on uneven floors. The genius of its design lies in its functionality: the shelves and cabinets are movable, allowing them to be positioned higher, lower or exchanged as desired; the configuration shown is therefore just an example. The cabinet with internal shelf is 52 cm high, 75 cm wide and 40 cm deep. The cabinet with desk or bar compartment is 43 cm high, 75 cm wide and 40 cm deep; depth when fully open: 77 cm. The six shelves are 25 cm deep. The piece of furniture has been checked: it is in excellent original vintage condition with some minimal traces of use related to age; all mechanisms work properly. The wood has been preserved with tung oil.
