Item description
One of the pieces destined to become a cult object, highly sought after by collectors everywhere, better known as the Cubo radio. It was designed by Marco Zanuso and Richard Sapper for Brionvega in 1964. The first was Milanese, the second was of German origins, the two began to collaborate in 1959. The Cubo radio is, like the previous ones, a revolutionary object, colored and no longer gray and with a new shape: a parallelepiped with rounded corners formed by two shells that open and close like a book. When open, the radio performs its primary function, revealing the internal mechanical part. When closed, it becomes a sculptural object with a continuous and smooth appearance, accentuated by the use of materials such as plastic and zamak metal alloy.
