Metal and suede Meccano daybed. Sharp, masculine and playful are the pieces in the Meccano collection. The technical aspect of the construction world and the automotive lifestyle lend a unique attitude to the collection. Meccano is a daybed with rounded corners and a slim but robust structure that reflects the style of the collection. It is inspired by the world of mechanics and aviation, maintaining essentiality and giving a sense of minimalism to the space in which it is placed, either as a single piece mixed with other furniture or as a set. The cushion is made of premium grey suede, which is very soft and warm to the touch. The finish is called "burnt metal" and features the typical dark colour with blue veins or spots that metal takes on when it is forged in the oven, then coated with a transparent, semi-translucent finish to protect the finish. The imperfections in the colour of the material are the special feature of this collection: each piece is different in colour tone, size of the spots/veins and welding points. A small amount of roughness balanced with the precision of the laser-cut curves and lines gives the pieces the right character, masculine, timeless and suitable for Brutalist and Modernist architecture and interiors.
