Pair of walnut and green velvet armchairs, 1950s. Coming from the headquarters of an insurance company, this set is stunning in every way. The walnut structure, preserved in pristine original condition, displays a warm patina of the era. It is partially uneven but that only adds to the charm of the armchairs, which truly tell a story of decades of loving and careful use. The details of the structure are wonderful, from the concave groove that runs along the armrest to the elegantly carved profiles on the sides. The upholstery, redone in recent years, is a thick and robust checked velvet; it is green but has many shades ranging from aquamarine to dark forest green depending on the light and the direction of the fibers. The condition of the upholstery is almost perfect, a nice 9/10; covering them is still possible. Seat height: 44 cm. Two pairs of armchairs available (price per single pair).
