Pair of sideboards from the 4D modular furniture series designed by Angelo Mangiarotti for Molteni, circa 1960s. Wooden structure with mahogany veneer. They can be combined with other elements of the 4D furniture; the assembly is the one shown in the photos, it is not possible to compose them differently. They are finished on all sides and can therefore also be used in the center of the room or as open space dividers. One of the sideboards has six drawers of different heights, one of which is a bar compartment, while the upper part is visible with a height-adjustable shelf; there are signs of use inside the drawers and on the supports. The other sideboard has two wooden doors in the lower part, two in smoked glass in the upper part and two height-adjustable shelves; it has been subject to obvious discoloration due to exposure to sunlight. Both sideboards have four wheels at the base; to date the rubber of the wheels is deteriorated and has cracks and breaks, almost all of them are now "square" but can be easily eliminated or replaced. Good condition with normal surface marks and scratches from use.
