Item description

Pair of Vicenza half-moon cherry wood bedside tables, late 18th century. This set is distinguished by its essentiality and formal cleanliness. Made of cherry wood, the only decorative elements are the succession of contrasting triangles along the edge of the support surface top and the sort of flower whose petals are made by means of the same triangular shape already mentioned, which appears at the opening of the small drawer inscribed in a circle. Three slender legs support the bedside tables. The pair is referable to Vicenza manufacture of the late 18th century. Good state of conservation.
