Lunar sofa bed by James Irvine for B&B Italia in Maxalto blue cotton. Very good condition with moderate signs of use; a few small holes on the fabric, signs of use and pilling. The seat and lounging surface are in very good condition. The color of the sofa and cushions is in bright, light shade. Comes with the two matching orange cushions (Maxalto brand, whose label is torn off, not visible). This is a work by London designer James Irvine (1958-2013); a project created in 1997 and presented at the Milan Fair. Epoxy powder-coated aluminum die-cast tubular structure in ALU gray, circular LEM legs and contact tips. The seat and backrest, both composed of a single element padded with cold-molded polyurethane foam, offer unparalleled comfort, while the original fabric of the time, is in a soft, textured bright blue cotton by Maxalto, whose tactile pleasantness adds a touch of luxury and authenticity to the design. The Lunar sofa is a work of art that embodies the design of the 1990s. Its technological specialty makes it truly special: the mechanism to lower the backrest transforms this design marvel into a spacious and comfortable bed for two, making it perfect for your needs at home. Seat height: 41 cm. Seat depth: 55 cm. When open it measures 210 x 130 cm.
