Pair of Panton Classic Chair S chairs in white fiberglass, 1980s-90s. Designed by the great Danish designer Verner Panton in 1959-60 for Vitra. 100% made in Switzerland using fiberglass resin (rigid polyurethane foam), Bayer's Baidur patent. Glossy lacquered exterior surface finish. Excellent condition, minimal and unnoticeable signs of use; maniacally kept, used very little. These cult chairs were produced by the expensive but reliable process of printing (monocoque one-piece) with polyurethane foam, still used today.
