Pair of walnut bedside tables by Osvaldo Borsani, 1930s

This pair of bedside tables was produced by the Atelier Varedo of Gaetano Borsani, father of the famous designer Osvaldo Borsani, in Italy in the 1930s, the Art Deco period. They have been completely cleaned and polished with shellac, retaining their original patina. Green glass top, walnut and maple veneer, glass knobs and aluminium band at the base, as shown in the photo.
