Rare pair of mirrors made entirely of carved wood gilded with gold leaf. The frame, oval in shape and with a concave section, features ‘beaded’ work on the inside and ‘bell-shaped’ work on the outside. A rich interlacing of leafy volutes and floral racemes enrich it on all sides. The mirrors are original mercury mirrors as is the particularly thick and full-bodied gold leaf gilding. From the Ligurian area, they can be dated to the end of the 18th century. The dimensions are: 101 x 58 cm. We issue a regular certificate of authenticity with photo.
