Glass and metal candlestick by Peill & Putzler, 1970s

Glass and silver-plated metal candlestick by Peill & Putzler (Germany), 1970s. Boho (Czech) glass, made by the Rudolfova Hut glassworks (later part of Sklo Union), designed by Rudolf Jurnik. The heavy square block of solid glass (750g) has circular bowl-shaped indentations on each side which create beautiful lighting effects. It is in very good condition, showing only minor traces of use and the passage of time in the form of small scratches and patina. The base of the candlestick is made of pressed crystal glass. It has no damage or mechanical defects. Discolorations in photos result from poor lighting of the object and are much less visible in reality.
