Set of six chairs mod. Eva by Niels Koefoed for Koefoeds Hornslet (Denmark), 1960s (designed in 1964). Known as the Eva model, after one of his daughters, the designer described a tall, graceful, feminine chair with full hips and narrow shoulders. These chairs are a beautiful example of mid-century modern and Scandinavian style. The use of solid, beautifully grained rosewood and teak, along with a gently curved back, ensures that each piece maintains comfort and durability, as well as charm and beauty. The chairs are characterized by an original covering in natural wool with a weave reminiscent of jute fabric, which gives the seats a warm and classic look. Precise joinery and attention to detail is evident throughout. Exquisitely crafted backrests with sculpted vertical slats not only add aesthetic appeal but also demonstrate expert craftsmanship. The elegant, soft and organic lines and the curvature of the backrest and teak structure perfectly support the human body, making them extremely comfortable dining chairs.
