Inlaid wooden flap in Louis XVI style, 1960s

Elegant Italian flap in Louis XVI style from the 20th century. Finely inlaid cabinet with floral motifs of whirls, cornucopias and mythological figures in walnut, bois de rose, maple, briar, rosewood and fruit woods. On the central doors we find a depiction of the goddess of dawn, Aurora, on a chariot drawn by winged horses as she announces the arrival of morning. A sideboard of beautiful quality and size, ideal for inclusion in a large living room or study. Cabinet supported by four solid inverted pyramid trunk legs, also inlaid. Large capacity and service flap fitted with a capacious outer drawer, two central doors, two side doors, a calatoia inside which are four further small drawers and a central door. Central cabinet doors with a large compartment inside for spirits and glasses (see photo). Locks not working, to be overhauled. Has small veneer flaws and some signs of ageing (see photo). Structurally sound and in beautiful patina, overall in fairly good state of preservation.
