4 Emblematic "Plia" folding chairs, designed by Giancarlo Piretti in 1967 and produced by Anonima Castelli, Bologna, since 1970. Steel structure, seat and back in transparent amber polypropylene. Wear consistent with age and use. History The symbol of a new era centered on plastic material: this is how the Plia chair was received in 1967 when it was presented at the "Fiera Del Mobile di Milano". With the Plia seat, designer Giancarlo Piretti revolutionized the concept of the folding chair and his study on the "3-disc pivot" is considered a stroke of genius. Plia is exhibited in the design sector of the MoMa in New York.
