A particular and linear pair of vintage Italian wall sconces; on the back of each sconce there is a sturdy metal plate to which, by means of shaped metal supports, are applied seven plates of tempered smoked glass with elegant shapes; two of them are positioned so as to remain parallel to the wall, while the other five protrude outwards, like the petals of a flower. The plate on the back allows the wall lights to be positioned on the wall; the electrical wires connected to the lamp holders also protrude from the plate; the position of the light points is perfect, as they are unobstructed and distribute the light excellently and evenly. The wall lights were made between 1970 and 1973 in a workshop on the outskirts of Milan (Italy); the skilled craftsmen were faithfully inspired by a design model of the famous Fontana Arte company. Fontana Arte is a prestigious Italian company founded in Milan in 1932 by Luigi Fontana and Giò Ponti and specialised in glasswork and furnishing accessories, a leading name in Italian design. Our wall lights, with their simple structure, clean lines and the balanced and dynamic arrangement of the crystals, are unique, elegant and modern pieces of furniture that can be adapted to any room in the house. The wall sconces are in good condition, there is some slight oxidation on the chrome part and there are small chips on the crystals (see photo), but as they are minimal, when the sconces are mounted they become negligible from an aesthetic point of view; however, for these reasons, we have decided to offer them at an affordable price. The electrical system is functional but the wiring is European, voltage compatibility in other countries must always be checked before use For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, polystyrene, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.
