French Napoleon III style writing desk, mid-20th century. Piece of furniture in bois de rose, walnut, mahogany and fruit woods adorned with geometric inlay. Professional all-round finished desk of beautiful proportion, ideal for inclusion in a salon or study. Piece richly adorned with chiseled and gilded bronzes of excellent quality. Desk top covered with excellent faux leather, wooden top border in need to be repainted (see photos), lightened over time. Piece fitted with three drawers of excellent capacity and service, complete with a working key to the center drawer. Structurally solid, it shows some minor signs of wear; overall in good state of preservation.
