A unique teak wall unit with desk and vitrine,
designed by Poul Cadovius for Cado. Poul Cadovius is one of the designers, whose modular shelving systems profoundly affected
mid-century design in the 1950s, 60s, and 70s.
The shelf and glass vitrine with two inner adjustable glass shelves provide enough space for exposing decorations.
The vitrine can also be used as a bookcase, protecting books from dust. The compact desk, suitable for laptop or reading, creates a nice, discreet working space. 200 cm rails composed of two pieces each provide various possibilities of arrangement. The large desk-shelf can also be placed lower and thus one can expose large items like vases, etc. Besides the functional advantages, the unit becomes a decoration on the wall. Cadovius considered the Cado system one of his most exclusive and successful designs. The system is entirely modular, allowing one to arrange the components as needed.

The set consists of: a vitrine: H: 56 / W: 80 / D: 45 cm;
shelf: W: 80 / D: 20 cm; a desk shelf : W: 80 / D: 45cm; four solid wood rails 100 cm long; brass hardware. The wall unit has been checked by our team. It is in excellent vintage condition. We refreshed the wood with professional compounds and a Danish oil finish. A shelf has the “made in Denmark” engraver, validating its origin.
We leave minor signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. We try to bring furniture back to its best look, still considering they are 60 years old.
