Antique Neapolitan sculpture representing the Archangel Michael as a full-length figure, on his head he wears a high crown, is wearing armour and is in the act of crushing Satan, represented at his feet, pointing at him with the sword he holds in his right hand; on his left hangs a chain with scales. The statue has a terracotta head and wooden hands and feet and is modelled and painted with gilded details. The clothes worn by time are coeval. Provenance: Naples early 20th century.
