Item description
Bar cabinet designed by Paolo Buffa. Elegant bar furniture created by Paolo Buffa, an architect and designer from Milan who began his training in Gio Ponti's studio. The cabinet is in neoclassical style, typical of Buffa, in wood and herringbone veneer of rosewood, decorated with 4 prints and brasses. Inside, mirror and maple wood are used, which because of the light colour gives a nice contrast to the outside, the doors act as bottle holders with brass rods and original glass tops, the cabinet also has an upper light. It is likely that this very fine bar was produced in the 1940s by Eredi di Angelo Marelli, which currently looks after Paolo Buffa's archive. The furniture is attributed thanks to the books Eredi di Angelo Marelli, Paolo Buffa Designer, Cantù and in I Mobili di Paolo Buffa, Centro Legno Arredo Cantù. This wonderful bar is ideal for adding sobriety and refinement to one's surroundings. The bar is in excellent condition, it has no serious defects, only some slight signs of time visible in the photos.
