Large and rare pair of prints made using the etching technique within gilded wooden frames in the Empire style. One depicts 'Telemachus' Farewell to Eucarides' and the other 'Telemachus and the Nymphs'. The two works were printed by Alfred Chardon, published by Framcois Delaure in Paris and engraved by Louis René Lucien Rollet (1809 - 1862). The subjects are taken from the paintings of Henri Frederic Schopin (1804 - 1880). Objects of great decorative and furnishing effect, they are in excellent condition and still bear the original blown glass. The dimensions are as follows: 122 x 93 cm. France, mid-19th century.
