White PH5 hanging lamp by Poul Henningsen for Louis Poulsen (Denmark), 1970s-80s. The PH5 is one of Denmark's most famous hanging lamps. It was first introduced in 1958 and has since become an iconic piece of mid-century modern design. The design aim of the PH5 was to provide glare-free lighting, achieved by having several concentric elements working together to diffuse the light and prevent any harsh glare. The lamp is also equipped with a curved, trumpet-shaped reflector, which directs the light downwards, creating a soft, warm light. Over the years Louis Poulsen has produced the PH5 in various colours: the most famous is the white one, in subsequent editions in blue, red and orange. The one proposed here is white and has blue and red plates and purple details of the structure. Overall, very good original vintage condition, with no significant scratches or dents. Original wiring with 150 cm cable adjustable according to various needs. Manufacturer's label preserved. The PH5 is still in production today and remains a versatile lighting option that can suit a wide range of interior designs, both residential and commercial.
