Item description
Art Deco chandelier in iridescent Murano glass, circa 1940s. It was made with the etched glass technique which gives the material an iridescent color. When hit by light it takes on various shades of the colors of the rainbow depending on the point of observation. Furthermore, this process gives the glass a velvety feel to the touch. The chandelier is composed of a large central plate, which hides three lights inside (E27); the upper part is composed of twelve large curved leaves and in the center of a glass tube worked with a characteristic spring shape. The chandelier has an imposing and harmonious appearance, when the bulbs are turned on all the leaves with changing colors illuminate, creating an enchanting scenic effect. Completely restored, the electrical system was replaced while maintaining the original lamp holder; illuminated by three E27/E26 bulbs, it also works with LED ones.
