SILVER Seller in Pavia, Italy

Item description

Les grands trans-Parents is a mirror from 1938, signed by the great photographer Man Ray for the Simon by Cassina brand. An enigmatic play on words for a mirror that has now become a true work of art. Les grands trans-Parents is an elliptical mirror with a screen-printed polished edge with a rigid polyurethane support. Designed by Man Ray in 1938, it was edited by Simon Gavina in 1971 and bears a deliberate, confusing phrase in the actual translation. "Large" is "transparent", meaning that the most obvious things are often invisible to the eyes, and this is the only certain fact revealed by the American painter, photographer and filmmaker and exponent of Dadaism. Dimensions: W. 91 cm - H. 181 cm - D. 4 cm.
