Murano crystal vase by Barovier for Barovier & Toso, 1930s

An oval-shaped vase produced by Barovier & Toso, made of crystal glass with the special 'Bullicante' (Venetian slang) process used by Murano glassmakers, which consists of small air bubbles that are immersed in the glass. This vase is enriched with lateral applications consisting of moulded glass strings with a characteristic wavy pattern, called 'morise' in Venetian slang. The vase was made in the Murano workshops of Barovier & Toso in the 1930s - 1940s.
