Pair of French Empire gilt and burnished bronze candelabra/flambeaux, early 19th century. The central stem features a burnished bronze figure of a winged woman carrying a four-light strain on her head. The strain features a basket of flowers from which four floral-patterned arms branch out, terminating with wax holder. The woman rests on a floral-patterned gilded sphere, which in turn lodges on an expertly chiseled cylindrical bronze base. Complete with certificate of authenticity.
