Item description
Floor lamp, design by Ettore Sottsass for Design Centre, 1970s. Aluminium, chrome-plated steel and perspex. Cult design. (Bibliography: Domus, 504, November 1971, p. 34 - G. Gramigna, Repertorio del design italiano, Milan 1985, p. 339, and 2003, p. 186). All parts are original with the exception of the red incandescent light bulb (still available but presumably burnt out), which was replaced with a red LED lamp (low heat emission) and the switches inside the push-button panel. Philological restoration work was carried out on the internal metal structure, which was repainted by sandblasting, on the oven-baked painted metal base, and on the internal switches, which were replaced with switches of the same type due to wear and tear. There are only a few slight signs of wear due to time, the lamp is completely intact and original in all remaining parts, as can be seen from the photos. If shipping is requested, it will take approximately 20 days for the packaging to be completed.
