Item description
Set of six chairs mod. 830 by Mario Marenco and Antonella Scarpitta for Mobilgirgi, 1980s. They stand out for their distinctive design and high-quality materials. These chairs feature a unique structure where the front legs connect seamlessly to the armrests and wrap around the back with no visible joints, creating a fluid, cohesive shape. The seats are upholstered with original cognac leather, offering both comfort and a luxurious aesthetic. The wooden parts are made from beech using steam bending techniques, known as the Thonet technique, which contribute to the chairs' durability, lightweight construction and elegant shape. The delicately curved beech backrest is covered with vertical stripes of walnut veneer, which highlight the richness of the wood and give each chair a unique look. Marenco and Scarpitta, recognized for their clean, functional designs that often incorporate advanced technological elements and a deep knowledge of materials, have included all of these features in this particular project. Each chair is in excellent original condition with minor signs of use due to age. The chairs are in fantastic original condition, they have only been gently cleaned. The wood has been preserved with professional products. Seat height: 42 cm.
