Large submerged glass vase, attributable to Flavio Poli and made in Murano in the 1960s. Fine example of Venetian art glass.
The vase has an elegant, slender shape, with a wide base that narrows upward and then widens again at the top rim.
Its main coloring is a deep, translucent red, allowing glimpses of the inner glass shades. The process is characteristic of submerged glass, a technique in which layers of colored glass are enclosed within an outer layer of clear glass, creating an effect of depth and brilliance. The inside of the vase shows a slight green tinge, which adds an additional element of color complexity.
