Bent oak arch floor lamp with handmade cotton shade, late 1950s - 60s. The exquisite rarity of this design lies in the use of organically bent dark oak wood, a feature rarely encountered in contemporary times. This aesthetic finds affinity with renowned designers such as Carlo Mollino, Gio Ponti, Ico Parisi, Max Ingrand and Angelo Lelii, who have also embraced the philosophy of organic design. The lampshade is made of cotton strips wrapped around a metal structure; it was handmade and remade like the original. The lamp has undergone a complete restoration, including rewiring for improved functionality, a new switch, etc. The wood has been rejuvenated and polished. Overall excellent condition.
