Divasumma 18 calculator by Mario Bellini for Olivetti, 1970s
SILVER Seller in Firenze, Italy
The Divisumma 18 is a portable electronic calculator made by Olivetti in 1973 through which the company entered the portable electronics market. Thanks to the design of Mario Bellini, who enlisted the collaboration of Dario De Diana, Alessandro De Gregori, Derk Jan De Vries, Antonio Macchi Cassia, Gianni Pasini, and Sandro Pasqui, the calculator was a success, although it was expensive and destined from the start for a limited market, so much so that it was included in the permanent collection of MOMA in New York.
