An interesting model of bentwood dining chairs from the mid-century. Designed by Radomír Hofman for Ton Bystřice Pod Hostýnem (Thonet's successor in Czechoslovakia after World War II). They were produced in the former Czechoslovakia in the 1960s. The chairs are made of curved plywood, have a beechwood frame and are upholstered in fabric.
An interesting example of Czechoslovak design following the great success of the Czechoslovak pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels. The chairs are overall in excellent condition Vintage, the wood shows signs of time and use, the seats have new fabric.
