Item description

This exclusive set consisting of three armchairs and a stool/pouf was designed and manufactured in Italy in the 1940s by Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig. The design exemplifies the elegance and functionality typical of the modernist era. Made of curved wood, probably beech, known for its strength and flexibility. The woven texture of the seats and backrests is made of natural rope or plant fibre, giving it a rustic and natural touch that combines harmoniously with the wooden frame. The soft curves of the seats and backrests are designed for maximum comfort and ergonomic support. The curved armrests blend perfectly with the overall design, offering additional support. The stool/pouf can be used as a footrest for one of the armchairs or as an independent seat. The set has been kept in excellent condition, with slight signs of wear consistent with age and use. The patina of the wood and the strength of the woven weave testify to the craftsmanship of the time. Traces of old restoration can be seen on the back. Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig (1896-1945): Giuseppe Pagano Pogatschnig was an Italian architect and designer, recognised for his contribution to the Rationalist movement in Italy.
