Item description
An elegant blue submerged Murano glass bottle vase, designed in the 1970s by Flavio Poli and produced in Venice by Seguso, is in perfect condition. The vase is a striking example of mid-century modern art combined with traditional Murano glassmaking techniques. The vase has an elegant, elongated shape, characteristic of mid-century modern design. It is made of high-quality Murano glass, renowned for its exceptional clarity and quality. The vase is characterised by a vibrant shade of blue, achieved by the Sommerso technique, in which a layer of blue glass is dipped into the clear glass. The surface of the vase is smooth and polished, with a glossy finish that reflects the light beautifully. Designed by Flavio Poli, a renowned Italian glass artist known for his innovative use of colour and form, and produced by Seguso, one of Murano's most respected glass manufacturers, which guarantees impeccable quality and craftsmanship. Although primarily decorative, the vase is also functional: it is designed to hold water and safely support a single flower stem.
