The set includes an extendable round dining table in rosewood, model Olbia, and a set of seven rosewood chairs, which showcase the Parisi's characteristic style of combining sleek lines, elegant shapes and high-quality materials. The Olbia table is a remarkable piece of mid-century modern furniture. Made of fine rosewood, the table features a meticulously crafted surface with a star-shaped veneer that emphasises the natural beauty of the wood. Strong, geometrically designed legs, joined by curved wooden frames and complemented by cool metal feet, create a visually striking and structurally sound base. The table's innovative extension mechanism allows the top to slide, revealing a hidden two-part door that can be easily extended, transforming the table from a compact round shape to an elongated oval form. The chair set, made in the 1950s, is crafted from lush dark rosewood, embodying the essence of mid-century modern aesthetics. The minimalist structure is highlighted by uniquely sculpted legs in the shape of a hexagonal prism and geometrically faceted frame ends, which add visual interest to the streamlined silhouette. Ergonomically curved backrests are designed for better support and comfort. Newly upholstered in vibrant cobalt blue leather, the chairs offer a striking contrast to the deep, natural tones of the rosewood, enhancing both comfort and practicality. Both the table and chairs are in excellent condition original vintage, with minor signs of wear on the wood confirming their age and provenance. The chairs have recently been reupholstered to restore their former beauty and full functionality.
