This extremely functional mid-century modular teak wall unit with a secretaire with a hidden desk was designed in the 1960s by Poul Cadovius and made by his company Cado.
The unit features a minimalist design, brilliant carpentry,
and attention to detail, especially visible in the nicely integrated handles and beautifully woven front of one of the cabinets. Brass hangers and large cabinets add elegance and functionality.
The set includes one cabinet, or a secretaire with drop-front doors, which can serve as a hidden desk. With its inner shelf for documents, laptops, and accessories, it is an excellent alternative to a traditional desk and is ideal for creating discreet home office space in your living room. Typical of Cadovius’s design, the front is ornamented with thin teak strips, which are found in most of his wall units, as well as in pieces like the Governor sofa.
There is also a spacius 4 drawers dresser with larger and smaller drawers. The sliding glass doors cabinet is perfect for keeping your glassware, or other small items that you want to keep away from dust and still have them nicely exposed. There are 2 adjustable glass shelves there which gives many set up possibilities.
This shelving system is entirely modular; all parts can be interchanged and set up as desired, using an easy system with brass hangers inserted into solid wood rails. The shown setup is just an example. In conclusion, this unit is perfect for adding functional and elegant storage to any living room or bedroom.

There is an original manufacturer’s ingraving ” Made in Denmark ” on the back side of each shelf.
The wall unit has been checked by our team and is in excellent vintage condition. All doors and drawers work properly, and all parts fit together seamlessly. We cleaned the wood with professional compounds and preserved it with Danish oil to enhance the beauty of the grain. Feel free to check out the rest of our range!
