However for some years now, the trend has been towards the so-called vertical marketplaces, i.e. specialized in a certain category of products/services: think of well known Uber service for those who are looking for a taxi or of Deliveroo for those who want to order something to eat at home. Why? Everything is based on the service's quality and seller's selection, in other words on the reputation of the marketplace itself. Realiable marketplaces make life easier for those looking for a ride or simply an ice cream and would not know where to go in the mare magnum of a simple online search.
