Are you always looking for unique pieces and timeless design icons? If so, you can't miss the fall edition of Mercanteinfiera in Parma, an event now in its 27th year that brings together dealers, professionals and amateurs under the banner of secondhand.
Vintage clothing, designer furniture, antique treasures and collectibles: the Mercanteinfiera presents a huge variety of items every year, with more than 1,000 exhibitors offering the best of their collections in the Fair's 4 pavilions.
Once again this year there will be 3 collateral exhibitions to accompany the event: the first in collaboration with Galleria Antonio Colombo Arte, Paolo Brillo - Stolen moments. Bob Dylan and other music icons will present a selection of shots by Paolo Brillo, who over 30 years has immortalized every moment of the great American singer-songwriter's concerts.
The second collateral exhibition instead features a common but curious object, the corkscrew. Entitled In vino veritas in collaboration with Musei del Cibo di Parma, it is dedicated to the infinite forms of the corkscrew, an everyday object in circulation since the 15th century that has been constantly evolving.
The third is instead organized in collaboration with the Center for Studies and Archives of Communication of the University of Parma and is dedicated to fashion under the title Communicating Fashion: Identity, Transformations and Gender Imaginaries (1960-1980). A journey through the CSAC archives. The exhibition deals in a multidisciplinary way with the transformations of the fashion system between the late 1960s and 1980s, a real dive into the past to better understand the present.
