Item description
Elegant initial model of a large counterweight pendant lamp, called Keos, by Florian Schulz, made in Germany in the 1970s. Out of production for decades. Base in nickel-plated brass. The suspension lamp is adjustable in height from 31.5 to 114 cm (from 80 to 290 cm) by changing the height of the heavy nickel ball. The structure is made of polished nickel, with a fabric cable, counterweight ball in nickel and dome in nickel. The lamp is handmade and of very high quality (Made in Germany). It has a distinctive character and minimalist charm. The company Florian Schulz was founded in 1949 and closed in 2018. Lighting: a large screw bulb Edison with base E26/27 up to 100W. Excellent condition with dark nickel patina and small signs of age, an almost invisible bump on the round ball (see photo). Please note that this lamp has never been used, but only kept in a showroom for many years.
