Italian sideboard designed by Pier Luigi Colli for Fratelli Marelli in the 1940s. Homage to historical Italian furniture, tinged with art deco influences, in the worked shapes and in the ornamental use of the multiple essence of wood, this sideboard is exceptional both in its construction and in its decorative cut. Sculpted animals emerge from the four circular and tapered supports together with the ring elements and the edges of the scalloped doors that offer reliefs. The handles, inspired by butterflies, are made largely of brass-plated metal, perforated and hand-painted. The use of noble wood plating reinforces the depth and tones.
