Wooden skis with Kandahar bindings in the spring variant. In 1932, the Swiss Reuge patented the Kandahar binding with metal spring cable and front clamping lever. Innovative due to its robustness and versatility, this binding was to be very popular for at least a couple of decades, establishing itself as the absolute standard.
