Item description
Jacketed glass vase from the Murano glass factory Barovier & Toso. Refined Murano glass vase with 4 layers of casing. The glass coating technique consists in the hot overlapping of layers of glass with different colours. The vase is made up of an entire black layer, a very thin white layer, a degradé green that fades from green to black and a transparent outer layer. This very elegant vago with an intense and vibrant color was created by the Barovier & Toso glassworks. Barovier, a Venetian glass factory from Murano which has its origins in the 13th century, is therefore the sixth oldest family business in the world. In 1942 it merged with the Toso Brothers glass factory and Barovier & Toso was born. The vase is in perfect condition and has no defects. It bears the acid-engraved signature at the base.
