Lombard school, Pair of still lives with birds, 17th century
PLATINUM Seller in Cuneo, Italy
Rare pair of Italian paintings from the second half of the 17th century. Oil on canvas works from the Lombard school depicting splendid flower vases with birds and insects, of notable pictorial quality. In fact, it is worth highlighting the presence in the composition of small animals such as snails, lizards, grasshoppers and dragonflies. Ancient contemporary frames in carved, lacquered and gilded wood, with some loss of color and signs of aging (see photo). Works already restored with relining, replacement of the frame and color recovery in small spots. Overall in good state of conservation. Light painting H 71 x W 96 cm.
