Provencal walnut sideboard, '800
SILVER Seller in Padova, Italia
Walnut wood sideboard with two doors and three drawers made in France in the first half of the 19th century. The wavy frames, the sinuous leg and the movement of the band at the bottom they are typical of French Provençal furniture. For the door and side panels, as well as the drawer fronts, elm wood with marked grain was used. The upper surface, in solid walnut, bears the signs of time. The fir wood interior is also worn from use. Restored and polished internally and externally with shellac with wax finish.
